If you would like to buy one of our products just click on "Add to Cart". To finalize your order, click on "Check Out". You will be taken to the payment process page where you can fill in your delivery and billing address and chose your method payment.

When you have placed and paid for your order, it's prepared for transport almost immediately. As soon as the status of your order is 'completed', you can no longer change your order. If you wish you can return the entire order or any items that you don't want using the return procedure.

Yes, during check-out you can choose to 'Add a new address' where you can enter a different address than the billing address.

To find your size, check the tab "Size Chart" on the product page which converts your body measurements into 1971 clothing sizes.

Yes. We will send you a confirmation e-mail after receiving your order. If you think that money has been taken from your bank account and you have not received a confirmation e-mail then please check your spam folder. If you have created an account, your order will also be visible on your account page.

There are two ways to check the status of your order:

• In your 1971 account: When you log in at and go to “My Account” and then “My orders” you can check the status of the shipment of your order.
When your order has been fully processed, the status will show as “completed”.
Once the order has been shipped the status says “shipped” and a link with the tracking number will appear under the status.
When you click on the link, you will be forwarded to the site of the responsible courier and the tracking info of your order will appear.
Please note that the tracking link is only activated the moment the courier has received the package.

• E-mail: When the package has been shipped out you will receive a shipping confirmation by e-mail with a tracking link of the shipment.

Please contact our Customer Service Department as soon as possible and have your order number ready. Once your order has been processed, it can no longer be cancelled.


All orders must be paid at the time of ordering. We accept the following payment methods: Maestro, Mastercard, Visa, Amex. ApplePay, Bancontact, GPay, Ideal.

Payment in instalments with Alma
Payment in several instalments/deferred payment is available through our partner Alma. The security of the payments is ensured by Alma and its service providers. All payments are protected by 3D Secure.

Purchase amount
P2X: Only purchases between €50 and €2,000 are eligible for payment with Alma.
P3X: Only purchases between €50 and €2,000 are eligible for payment with Alma.
P4X: Only purchases between €50 and €2,000 are eligible for payment with Alma.
By paying in several instalments with Alma, the Customer does not pay any fees. Except for the following cases:

P3X: 0.01% per transaction
Alma is a tele-payment manager and issues an electronic certificate which will be considered as proof of the amount and date of the transaction in accordance with the provisions of articles 1316 and following of the civil code.

Any termination of the GTC between the Seller and the customer shall result in the termination of the GCU between Alma and the customer.

There may be a maximum amount, depending on the payment method you choose. For PayPal, the maximum amount is € 10,000. If you use iDeal to pay for your order, there is no limit to your order amount. 1971 has no control over the limit that they set for you.

Like most trustworthy websites, we use SSL technology (Secure Socket Layer) to protect your personal information when it's being sent over the Internet. SSL is the standard for payments over the Internet and is supported by Chrome, Firefox, Microsoft Internet Explorer, Safari and other popular browsers. We use this technology to encrypt sensitive information before it is sent over the Internet. SSL technology prevents your information from being accessed when you are submitting it.

By clicking on the shopping cart a page will open containing an overview of your order. Under your item(s), you will find the text 'Do you have a voucher code?'. Click here to enter the code.

When selecting PayPal at the checkout you will be asked to log in to your account to confirm the payment.

We accept payments by Visa, Mastercard and American Express. Like most trusted sites, we use SSL (Secure Socket Layer) technology to protect your personal information when it is sent over the internet. When you pay with a credit card, we will first make a pre-authorisation of the purchase cost on your card (please note: this is a temporary hold and not an actual charge on your credit card). When your order is sent, the final purchase cost will be charged to your credit card. When the order is canceled, the hold will be removed from the credit card within a few business days (this will depend on your bank). For questions about the pre-authorisation, please contact your bank.

With Bancontact / Mister Cash you can easily make online payments in the secure environment of your bank.


Orders send to the UK after Brexit, may be subject to local fees/taxes.

Duties and taxes are due upon receipt of an international order and are the responsibility of the recipient. Please check with your local authorities to see if you will have to pay customs, tariffs, or any other types of import fee.


You can return an article up to 14 days after receiving it. 

The items you wish to return must not be worn or washed. Of course you may try the items on to see whether they fit or meet your expectations but if you intend to return them, please ensure that the items do not pick up unpleasant odours. We check all returned clothing for stains and odours. 

Make sure you wrap the items with their original labels and in their original packaging. Fill in the attached Return form and put it in the box with the items you wish to return.

Make sure that your package is sent back using DPD. In your package you will find a Return label from DPD. Returning packages using a different carrier is at your own risk. If anything should happen to the package, 1971 cannot be held liable.

Items that have not been worn and that still have the original label and packaging may be returned within 14 days after receiving them. You may try on the items (with the exception of underwear and face masks) to see whether they fit and if the model meets your expectations. Underwear and face masks may only be returned in their original, unopened packaging. You cannot exchange items. When we receive the return package we will reimburse the amount, using the original payment method, to your account.

1971 holds the right to send items back to the customer in case the item looks washed, worn or shows any form of damage that is clearly not a production flaw. 

In the exceptional case that item(s) are missing from a returned order 1971 will reimburse the loss. However, 1971 holds the right to decline a refund request in case of frequently repeated irregularities based on the order history of the customer.

There are two options to return your articles. 

1) You can return your order by dropping it to 1971 office

2) You use the DPD return ticket and drop your parcel to the nearest DPD pickup parcelshop . Don't forget to ask the scan of your parcel to the shop.

When your return is received by our warehouse, we aim to process it within 2-3 business days. Depending on your original payment method, it will take 1-3 business days for the refund to reach your bank or credit card account. Please note: during SALE this processing time may take longer than indicated above. 

When you return your items at 1971 office it takes 1-3 business days, depending on your original payment method, before you see your money refunded to your bank or credit card account.

When you have returned your order via DPD, it can take up to a week before we receive your returned items at our office. After receival we check every returned item and we will reimburse (a part of) the amount of money via the orginal payment method. Depending on your used payment method,it can take up to 1 - 3 business days to see the money on your account.

Yes. Please put the items you want to return in sturdy packaging (cardboard box) so they will not be damaged.

We can exchange your articles. Send us a message to to inform me a bout the exchange. As soon we'll receive your items in perfect condition, we will send you the new parcel with your items.

The delivery costs is not reimbursed.


The delivery time is 2-3 working days for Belgium, Luxembourg and Netherlands. Please be aware that dispatch may take 5-6 working days for other countries.

You can have your order delivered in two ways.

1. You can pick up your order at 1971 office.

2. Or you can ship your order to your home, office or ant other address (no P.O. boxes).

The delivery costs for your order are:

€ 5.00 for Benelux - LU - FR - NL. Delivery is free for all orders above € 75.

€ 7.00 for France & Germany. Delivery is free for all orders above € 75.

For other countries, price will appear at the payment stage.

DPD delivers your package from Monday to Friday between 8:00 am and 6:00 pm. If you are not at home when your package is delivered, you will find a DPD absence message in your mailbox indicating where you can pick up the package.
