A tote is the everyday bag: the one you grab without thinking, the one that has to take it all. At 1971, I wanted mine as honest and hard-wearing as the garments that go with it.

Waxed canvas is the material of those who work outdoors, in harsh weather. Coated with wax to defy the rain and wear, it long dressed sailors. Its colours come straight from that heritage, shades that don’t seek to shine, but to last.

Because it’s a living material. It evolves over time, takes its marks, gains a patina, and little by little tells a story that belongs to you alone. Resistant to the elements as much as to everyday use, it improves instead of wearing out, while the leather of the handles and finishes adds its touch of refinement.

Inside, a large main compartment easily swallows your books, your tablet or a small laptop. A central clip strap closes it all in one motion and keeps your things within reach, while a full zip closure secures access to the interior. And because a good bag should be worn in more than one way, its adjustable, removable shoulder strap, a blend of fabric and leather with metal carabiners, carries it on your shoulder or across your body, as you please.
