Varsity spirit, the 1971 way
It's a knitted jacket inspired by varsity jackets, traditionally worn by high school and college students in the United States to show their sports team's colours. On the chest, a stitched letter marked their belonging to the university team.
Originally, these jackets were made of boiled wool, with leather sleeves. At 1971, I chose to knit it entirely, in 100% virgin wool.
There's nearly 2 kg of wool in this jacket, enough to make it a wardrobe essential, a piece that keeps you warm and carries through the years.
On the chest, you'll find the 71 made of felt patch with a loop, just like before.
